So, Im just curious: How many people out there still play their albums ? How many people still HAVE their albums TO play ??
I have been a collector and music lover for many years, and its just a constant in my life. Grabbing records at flea markets is just such a great way to spend the weekend ! Taking them home and playing them is another.
I have started the mundane task of converting my vinyl to CD. I wont get rid of anything, but it will be great to carry some of those "One hit wonders" to the car !

I still have every piece of vinyl I've ever owned. I got caught up in the CD craze when I got my first player in 1986, but still played the vinyl fairly steadily until about 16 years ago, when life was getting real busy, and CD's were just easier to pop in the player. My albums and 45's got buried in the back of the entertainment center until about a year ago, when one day I just decided to pull out and play some of my Beatle albums, which were the first I purchased with my own money back in the 70's. Suddenly, I realized: There is nothing like the sound of a needle in a groove, reproducing music. So now, every chance I get, I love to get that old feeling back by spinnin' another disc and remembering how good it felt when I got it home and played it for the first time. Thanks for helping to bring back the memories, Lisa!!!
Cool, my 2 teenager daughter are huge fan of vinyl, I gotta share this with them.
